1000100000: Mekkala Party at DIAGE Bangkok
Mekkala Party by 1000100000 at DIAGE 2026, Cloud 11 Bangkok. Light, sound and low-lying fog change an industrial room in this firsthand visual field note.
The light sits close to the floor.
In my recording of Mekkala Party, a low layer of fog spreads between columns, equipment and people. White and violet patches appear inside it. Above them, the ceiling and upper part of the room remain visible.
The architecture stays solid while the ground underneath it seems to soften.
A room with two different densities
1000100000 presented Mekkala Party in the Exhibition Zone at DIAGE 2026, at Cloud 11 in Bangkok.
The footage keeps the surroundings in view: windows, exposed building services, barriers and visitors holding phones. Equipment sits in the foreground. People cross through the scene.
Those ordinary details help the light register. There are familiar objects against which to judge the height of the fog and the distance between its bright patches.
A person moving through the room briefly changes the composition.
The building stays in the picture
From one angle, the fog looks like a continuous layer. From another, individual light sources become easier to distinguish. Columns interrupt the view and divide the space.
A tight crop could turn it into an abstract texture. The wider view preserves what interests me here: the relationship between the light, the floor and the building.
My original caption was simple: “Light and sound moving through a room full of fog.”
That is still a useful description. The room gives the light something to change.
